Year 6 had a wonderful day visiting Northumbria University.
We were detectives trying to crack the code to find out who had stolen the campus cup.
A great time was had by all.
Nancy Standlee has been our inspiration for our art project. She is most famous for her collage artwork.
We created our own collage cupcakes.
We are enjoying our basketball focus this half term.
Year 6 had a wonderful afternoon planting trees in the school grounds.
Their legacy will live on at Esh Winning primary.
Year 6 enjoyed attending a remembrance workshop at The Durham Federation.
Whilst some of year 6 have been visiting Edinburgh, the rest of the class have had a fabulous week. Cooking, sewing, clay sculpting and creating fabulous artwork are some of the activities we have enjoyed.
Week 3 of being Phoenix Fire Champions.
Today we were visited by Lee, who is a dog handler for the fire brigade. We were introduced to Marley, Archie and Woody who are fire dogs.
Woody demonstrated how amazing he is at sniffing out particular smells that could cause fires in buildings.
We have enjoyed week 2 of being Phoenix Fire Fighters. This week we were visited by the fire service. We used the fire hose, sat in the fire engine and looked at all the equipment.
All ready for our cross-country event at Meadowfield leisure centre.
Year 5 and Year 6 had a wonderful day at The Durham Federation.

We were very happy when one of our classmates brought in all her Blue Peter badges to show us.
We are having a wonderful time in our French lessons with Miss Istead, who is a French teacher at The Durham Federation.
Year 6 are enjoying our weekly netball sessions with Miss Claire. Our defending and attacking is getting better week by week.
