Health and Safety Week

Once a year for a period of one week the children are taken off timetable and the school holds a Health and Safety Week. This comprises of professional bodies coming into school and working with the children as well as the children visiting establishments all linked with the theme of Health and Safety. We also have a Global Dimension Week and a My Money Week.

Church Visits

We visit Esh Winning Methodist Church, Esh Winning Baptist Church, St Paul's Church in Waterhouses and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. A service is held for parents and friends of the school at the Methodist church where children participate in festive performances to celebrate the occasion.

Support Local Charities

• We raise money and hold events for Children In Need.
• We raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
• We raise money for St. Cuthbert's Hospice.
• We sell poppies for Remembrance Day.

We have a strong sense of community in our school

Esh Winning Primary are proud of their heritage and this symbol is used for our school logo.	The children create banners to celebrate our school.	The children have created this banner which celebrates activities that happen within the school.
