Year 6 had a fantastic time in France during September. After a quick first week back at school they set off on the long journey to Paris. The ferry ride was great, watching the white cliffs of Dover fade as they headed over the English Channel.
During the week in Paris the children visited a French market in Brie Comte-Robert where they got to test their French speaking skills whilst buying treats for themselves and their families. They then made it back for some adventurous activities, swinging from ropes in the forest.
All of the children then climbed the Eiffel Tower the next day, some even reaching the top! Everyone was so excited, even though their legs felt like wobbling jelly! The hardest part was then climbing the vast amount of steps after this up to the Sacre Coeur!
The highlight of the week for most though was visiting Disneyland where they rode some amazing rides and watched all of their favourite Disney characters parade through the main street.
The whole week was absolutely amazing! The children enjoyed trying new food, such as snails, speaking a new language and visiting a place where they had never been before.
It was a truly unforgettable experience for everyone!
