Meet the Staff
Year 3 is a two form entry with 37 children in total. We work very closely together as one year group, participating in a range of activities, such as sporting events, singing and seasonal festivals.
In Spring Term 1, we have PE on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Ways that you can support your child’s learning:
- Listen to your child read regularly.
- Access Times Tables Rockstars.
We enjoy reading a range of fiction and non-fiction books to support our English learning.
We follow the White Rose Maths long term plan to support our Maths learning, where children use the CPA Approach (Concrete – Pictorial – Abstract). This is supplemented by the use of Times Tables Rockstars.

Making poppies for Remembrance Day
The children had great fun making poppies for our class displays, all ready for Remembrance Day.
Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need
This week was very busy. We had loads of fun activities to do linked to Anti-Bullying Week and then on Friday we had Children in Need Day!
Christmas Activities in Year 3
This week we have taken part in some fantastic activities, including: making cards and calendars, watching Christmas films, listening to a story from Santa with hot chocolate and cookies, cave drawings, quizzes, a Christmas Party, visiting the ice-cream man and also running in the Festive Fun Run! Take a look at these photos to see how much fun we have had.
Team Building Day
We took part in a Team Building session this week. A coach came in and with the help of some of the year 5 and 6 children set up a carousel of challenges for us to attempt. We had to work in groups in order to complete the challenges. It was hard but great fun!
